γ Doradus variables

The γ Doradus variables are mostly A- and early F-type dwarfs and subgiants. They pulsate in high-order gravity modes, like the slowly-pulsating B-type (SPB) stars. Though they have similar temperatures and luminosities to the δ Scuti variables, it is not clear what drives the pulsations in γ Doradus variables.

γ Doradus variables usually pulsate with multiple periods longer than about 1 day.
